I'm Mike Chmelik — an industrial designer and engineer specialising in high-performance sporting goods and protective equipment. My work ships. The Maverik Optik 3 became the number-one selling lacrosse head on the market. The Cascade LX was the sport's first ASTM F3137-compliant women's headgear — a product category that didn't exist before we built it.

My process runs the full pipeline: pencil sketch to parametric CAD, 3D-printed prototype to production-ready geometry, lab testing to retail shelf. I've led junior design teams, managed cross-functional stakeholders, and delivered on aggressive timelines without compromising the work.
